Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 5, 2007
The following privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) governs the online information collection practices of Peru TPS (“we” or “us”). Specifically, it outlines the types of information that we gather about you while you are using our website (the “Site”), and the ways in which we use this information.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information you may provide to us or that we may collect offline and/or through other means (for example, at a live event, via telephone, or through the mail).
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By visiting and using the Site, you agree that your use of our Site, and any dispute over privacy, is governed by this Privacy Policy. Because the Internet is an evolving medium, we may need to change our Privacy Policy at some point in the future, in which case we will post the changes to this Privacy Policy on the Site and update the Effective Date of the policy to reflect the date of the changes. By continuing to use the Site after we post any such changes, you accept the Privacy Policy as modified.
What Information is Collected About Visitors?
The information that we collect about you while you are using the Site falls into two general categories:
1. Information You Provide to Us.
We may collect and store personally identifiable information and other information that you voluntarily supply either while on the Site or in responding via email in connection with a feature provided on the Site. Personally identifiable information is information that can be used to contact you or that gives your specific identity.
2. Information that is Automatically Collected.
We also collect and store information that is generated automatically as you navigate through the Site, including without limitation data such as your browser, your IP address, your referrer addresses, and generally accepted log information.
In order to collect this information, we use a standard feature found in browser software called a “cookie” to enhance your experience on the Site. Cookies are small files that your web browser places on your hard drive for record-keeping purposes. By showing how and when visitors use the Site, cookies help us track user trends and patterns. They also prevent you from having to re-enter your preferences on certain areas of the Site where you have entered preference information before. Another example of information that we may automatically collect as you navigate the Site is information about your computer’s connection to the Internet. This information allows us, among other things, to improve the delivery of our web pages to you and to measure traffic on the Site.
In addition, third party websites or third party web servers that place and present linked on the Site also may collect information from you via cookies, web beacons, clear .gifs or similar technologies. These third party websites and web servers may use the information they collect to help present their issues, to help measure and research the messages’ effectiveness, or for other uses. The use and collection of your information by these third party and web servers is governed by the relevant third party’s privacy policy and is not covered by our Privacy Policy. Indeed, the privacy policy of these third party advertisers and web servers may be different from our Privacy Policy. If you want more information about the privacy policies of these third party websites and web servers or want more information on how to opt-out of the cookies or web beacons that some advertisers and web servers may use, please visit the websites of those parties.
How is this Information Used?
We do not provide your information to third parties. We will use your email address to contact you about the matter of your
submission.
The Site includes links to other websites and provides access to third parties, whose privacy policies we do not control. When you access another website, use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the third party operator of the site you are visiting or the third party provider.
Governing Law
This policy and the use of this Site are governed by New Jersey law. Any claim related to the Site or this policy shall be brought in a Federal or state court in New Jersey, within one year after the claim arises. You agree no such claim may be brought as a class action. Users of the Site consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such court as the most convenient and appropriate for the resolution of disputes concerning this policy. The Site is controlled, operated and administered entirely within the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please note the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. You hereby consent to this transfer.
In the event case of any conflict between the terms of this policy and the terms of any electronic or machine readable privacy policy (for example, a P3P electronic privacy policy), the terms of this written policy shall control.
